Social, Cultural & Ecological Renewal • Spiritual Inquiry • Creativity & the Arts • Education & Parenting • Science & Spirit • Programs for Children & Youth
Join us this summer at Green Mountain College, located in the historic town of Poultney in beautiful south-central Vermont. Who could ask for a more appropriate place to renew ourselves and expand our horizons in so many ways?
Vermont has rightfully earned a reputation as one of the safest, most beautiful states in the nation. Artists, adventurers, writers, philosophers, and people who simply love the unspoiled outdoors have long been drawn to the rolling hills, dairy farms, and historic villages that define the landscape.

“In Service to the World”
by Lucas Dreier
The 2007 Rudolf Steiner Institute session will be one reflecting a commitment to re-imagined and broadened offerings according to emerging global callings. Around the world, there is an increasing sense that humanity is approaching a critical turning point and that the future is in our hands— especially the hands of youth. The question before us is how can we cultivate Anthroposophy to inspire the deeds of spirit, especially from the youth, for which our world yearns?
Nicanor Perlas will offer a course entitled “In Service to the World—A Course in Social Transformation.” In it participants will explore current world challenges and draw on the science of the spirit to face these challenges with wisdom and dedicated action. The course will emphasize youth’s role in world issues, as well as intergenerational collaboration and dialogue. Nicanor’s recent book is “Shaping Globalization: Civil Society, Cultural Power and Threefolding.” He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his leadership of the civil society movement in the Philippines. His course at last summer’s Institute was a hit, and we’re delighted he’s returning.
In addition, Clemens Pietzner will offer a course that will help emerging adults explore and understand their inner landscape, work to develop their own vision and mission, and navigate the world of money. Clemens is President of the Triskeles Foundation, an organization that develops innovative programs with and for youth that develop life skills, and capacities, in preparation for responsible adulthood.
As a part of the younger generation, I am thrilled that the Institute recognizes youth’s vital role and the need for social inclusion.
